About This

• Beautiful – Large premium packet of Half-Long White Parnsip (Pastinaca sativa) seeds. A German heirloom also known as Halblange Weisse, this classic parsnip variety has 10-inch long tapering roots with a sweet, anise-like flavor. This easy-to-grow root vegetable is easy to harvest and stores well. Minimum of 1 g per packet (about 300 seeds).
• Productive – Parsnip germinates in 14-28 days when soil temps are 50-70°F. Plant 1/2” deep and space 3” apart in an area with full sun. This variety will grow 2-3’ tall with a spread of 6-12”. Roots will mature in 170-180 days, plant in USDA zones 2-9.
• Good Eats – Sweet and hearty root vegetable that is great in stews and roasts. Long roots store well for a harvest that lasts. Extremely nutritious and also doubles as great livestock or wildlife fodder.
